The following has been outlined to assist you in understanding the policies of the studio, what is expected of you as a member, and what you can expect from us in return. All of our policies are strictly enforced. Please help us keep your studio a great place to be!

  • Dance fees must be paid in full by the due dates or students will not be permitted in class.

  • No gum or horseplay anywhere in the studio.

  • All dancers, parents and visitors will remove their outdoor footwear upon entrance to the studio. Outdoor footwear is to be kept in the Shoe Closets located at both the north and south entrance to the studio. This policy is in effect 365 days of the year and is not seasonal. You are welcome to bring indoor slippers to the studio for your comfort. Please do not leave your shoes blocking the doorway.

  • Food and drinks will be kept in the lunch room area only, and will not be brought into the change rooms and dance studios. Plastic bottles of water may be kept in the change rooms. Please be sure that the lid is tightly secured.

  • Anyone found defacing the property in any way will be dismissed from the studio immediately and held accountable for cost and repairs.

  • Absolutely NO STREET SHOES are allowed in any of the dance studios.

  • The studio will administer a $40 charge to all cheques returned by the bank for whatever reason. Once you have been notified, your replacement payment, along with the service charge, must be submitted within three business days. Replacement payments by cheque will not be accepted unless certified.

  • The studio will administer a $25 charge to all late payments and postponed/held tuition payments for whatever reason. Payments not submitted by studio closing on the due date are considered late.

  • A $25 administration fee will be charged to all refunds made throughout the dance season.

  • There are no refunds or transferal of fees on any payments received by Toronto Dance Industry Inc., including the unused portion of a term payment, registration fees, media fees, missed classes, choreography fees, costume fees, competition fees, rehearsal fees, dance gear and other merchandise purchases.

  • In the event of withdrawal from classes, the office must be notified in writing 14 days prior to your next scheduled payment date as indicated at registration. At this time, all unused tuition cheques will be returned to you. No refund will be made for the unused portion of a term payment; students are encouraged to complete the remainder of that term. Sorry cheques cannot be mailed; parents are required to pick them up from the studio by June 1 each season. All uncollected cheques by this date will be destroyed. Once a payment is processed (cheque or credit card) there are no refunds.

  • 3% per month will be charged on delinquent accounts. Fees are applied to accounts on the final day of each month.

  • There is no refund for missed classes. Missed classes may be made up in a class of the same level or lower during the week immediately following the missed class, September through December. Please be sure to speak to one of the instructors. Students may choose a different discipline for a make-up class. Make-up classes are not available January through June.

  • The studio is closed on Thanksgiving Weekend, Halloween, Family Day, Easter Weekend, and Victoria Day weekend. If your class happens to fall on one of these days, classes may be made-up as outlined above, during the week immediately following the holiday week.

  • The studio is closed for two weeks during Winter Break and one week during Spring Break. Tuition does not cover these closures. There are 36 weeks of lessons throughout the entire dance season (39 weeks in total including holidays).

  • All students perform in the annual recital with the exception to non-performance tumbling classes. A separate costume is required for each class. Costume payments are made in two installments, and are ordered in November.
